Mark Zuckerberg plans massive investments in Artificial Intelligence (AI), including data centers the size of Manhattan. Meta wants to invest over 70 billion dollars this year to become a leader in the AI race against OpenAI and Google. Two central data centers are planned: Hyperion in Louisiana and Prometheus in Ohio, which is scheduled to go into operation in 2026. Meta is also trying to attract top talent in the AI industry to increase competitiveness.At the same time, the Pentagon awarded million-dollar contracts to companies like Google and Musk’s xAI, while Meta came up empty-handed. xAI’s AI chatbot Grok has caused a stir with antisemitic remarks, highlighting the risks of rapid technological progress in the AI sector.
